Sweet Dreams

Sweet Dreams is a narrative-based adventure where you play the role of Alice, a girl who unfortunately is sick and cannot leave her room. Alice is used to spending her days reading and looking out of the window at her friends having fun without her.

As a player you will be able to explore Alice's room and start an adventure in her dreams during the night, explore magical environments and fight your nightmares

This was my first big project in developing a game completely from scratch and managing a team.

My Achievements 

  • Worked and refined the core concept with a team

  • Designed the core game mechanics with the design team​

  • Helped designing the game's systems and interactions.

  • Established the layout of the levels on a large scale for designers to work in

  • Set up the pacing of the levels

  • Designed puzzles and traversal gameplay sequences ​

  • Collaborated with artists on levels to facilitate level art and integration of graphic assets into levels

  • Collaborated with other level designers by exchanging bits of levels and giving each other regular feedback on our designs

One Pager Doc.

This document aims to provide a concise overview of the key aspects involved in designing.

It'll cover some of the most important considerations in game design, including game mechanics, story and narrative, user experience, art and visual design, sound and music, and more.

Skill Progression Doc.

A Skill Progression Doc. is a document that outlines how the player's skills and abilities will progress over the course of the game. It is essentially a plan for how the game will challenge and engage the player as they progress through the game's content.

The skill progression document will typically outline the different skills and abilities that the player can acquire throughout the game, as well as how these skills will be taught and developed over time.

GDD Alice Room

Alice's room is one of the most important parts in our gameplay because represent the "hub" of our diurnal gameplay.

In this document we set down the concept of the room and all the available interactions. 

MoodBoard

Moodboards are used to establish the overall aesthetic direction of a game and to communicate that vision to the development team. It can help designers and artists to create a consistent and cohesive visual style for the game.

A well-crafted moodboard can streamline the game development process by providing a clear and concise visual reference for the team to work from.

One of the methodologies that I have used in my projects is Scrum. By implementing Scrum, I was able to work efficiently with my team, prioritize tasks, and stay on track with our goals. This allowed us to create a high-quality game while meeting our deadlines and staying within our budget.
